THE CARE LIBRARY

Keep the wonder. Care for the detail.

Minerals differ in hardness, structure and sensitivity. Start with gentle handling and find out which care approach suits your particular piece.

01

Handle with support

Lift a specimen from its base with two hands when needed. Avoid gripping delicate points or pulling on a fragile cluster. Place it on a stable surface away from an edge.

02

Clean gently

A soft, dry brush is a sensible starting point for many specimens. Avoid household chemicals and abrasive cloths. Do not soak a mineral unless its suitability for water is confirmed.

03

Choose the light

Use soft indirect light for display. Extended direct sunlight can affect the colour of some minerals, and clear objects can focus light. Keep them away from intense heat and flammable surfaces.

04

Store thoughtfully

Wrap pieces separately in soft material and prevent movement in storage. Keep harder minerals from rubbing against softer ones. Store labels and product notes with the specimen.

Know your material.

These general notes are a starting point, not a substitute for the instructions supplied with a specific specimen. Treatments, coatings and fragile formations can change how a piece should be handled.

Quartz & rose quartz

Protect points and polished edges from knocks. Use a soft cloth; check for cracks, coatings or attached minerals before introducing water.

Amethyst

Keep purple specimens out of extended direct sunlight. Dust clusters carefully with a soft brush and avoid pressure on individual points.

Soft or layered minerals

Some minerals scratch easily or separate along natural layers. Dry cleaning and minimal handling are usually the cautious choice; ask for specimen-specific guidance.

A small, regular ritual.

01

Check that the display surface is stable and dry.

02

Look for accumulated dust before handling.

03

Clean gently using the method suited to the mineral.

04

Return the piece to soft light with room around it.

A few things to know.

01Are all crystals identical to the photograph?

Natural stones vary in tone, shape and inclusions. Review the individual product description and measurements, and ask us for clarification before selecting a piece.

02How do I choose my first crystal?

Start with a colour or form you enjoy, then consider the size and the place you would like to display it. Our care guide introduces common materials and practical considerations.

03Can you help with a gift?

Yes. Tell us about the occasion, preferred colours and budget through the contact form. We can help you review available pieces and check details before you decide.

04Do crystals have guaranteed health benefits?

We present crystals as natural objects for collection and decoration. They are not medical products, and we do not make claims about treating or preventing health conditions.
